Unclassified KBOR Retirement
Covering two-thirds of ESU positions, this retirement plan provides a 8.5% university match to the employee’s 5.5% contribution. Employees may select between TIAA-CREF and VOYA to best meet their investment needs.
USS KPERS Retirement
KPERS is a blended pension style plan for particular positions at ESU. Qualified employees have options to purchase service credits to increase their final benefit.
Voluntary 403(b) Retirement
Providing access to five vendors prepares you for retirement on your own terms. Our employer sponsored Roth option is not subject to earnings limitations, and has a higher annual contribution rate. Distributions from the pre-tax options are not subject to State of Kansas taxes after age 59 ½.
