Music Department Annual Gala Benefit
The annual Music Gala Benefit Concert
The largest single source of scholarship revenue ESU Department of Music
The Annual Gala Benefit Concerts is the largest single source of scholarship revenue for the ESU Department of Music. Each year, the concert generates thousands of dollars, providing scholarships for many students. Without these awards, some of the students would simply not be able to attend ESU. The proceeds from this concert become ever-increasingly important to students seeking an education at ESU. Both music majors and non-music majors alike benefit from your yearly contribution. With your help, the Department of Music will be able to continue to provide a high-quality music education and enrich the musical culture of Emporia.
The Music Gala Benefit Concert will be held on Saturday September 19th, 2020 7:30pm in Albert Taylor Hall on the ESU campus. This year we will honor Dr. Terry J Barham former Director of Choral Activites at Emporia State University and Kansas Music Education Association Hall of Fame Inductee (2017). The concert will feature performances by the Emporia State Choirs with special appearances by ESU Alumni.
