Sociology Club Activities

The Sociology Club focuses on providing activities that benefit students career opportunities.

The club members are working towards presenting at each Midwest Sociological Society conference.  Members have presented on cyberbullying, racism, and diversity/inclusion.

In the past, the Sociology Club transported students to Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary. This trip benefited the students in the Criminal Justice Track of the Sociology major by giving them direct insight into the workings of this system. Also, the students went to the Topeka Rescue Mission. This benefited Sociology majors in the Social Services track by giving them a chance to relate with the people they may be working with in the future.

Sociology club conducts fund raisers to help support the organization for future events.
