Below is a list of student services that have set specific preventative measures against the spread of COVID-19. The blue boxes contain a summary of information for students. Please visit their website for complete information before visiting the service or location by selecting the blue box.
Academic Center for Excellence and Success (ACES)
Tutoring services vary by subject. Interactions are primarily virtual. Select face-to-face services are limited to 30 minutes and must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. No walk-ins or general access without appointment.
Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Interactions include face-to-face at 128 Cremer, by Zoom or phone. No more than three people in the waiting area. Call ahead at 620-341-5523 for appointments.
Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Interactions include phone calls, emails and virtual meetings. Access to Cashier window in Plumb Hall will be limited. Email email@example.com or call 620-341-5135 to schedule. Visit website for refund check information.
Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Interactions are primarily virtual with walk-ins at 050 Memorial Union for questions or drop-off information. Use Handshake in your student portal in Hornet 365 to schedule. Call 620-341-5407 for questions or email staff directly.
Center for Student Involvement (CSI)
Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Interactions are virtual, including meetings, programming and submission of forms. Call 620-341-5481 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
See website for complete listing of hours. Grab & Go options: Slice of Life outside Hornet’s Nest (breakfast and lunch) and Greek Room on the second floor of the Memorial Union (lunch). Contactless payment preferred — meal plans, declining balance on ID cards, credit/debit cards; limited cash transactions. Use Grubhub to order for Hornet Express and Starbucks. Reservations preferred for Hornet’s Nest.

IT Help Desk
Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday; 5-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday; 5-9 p.m. Sunday. Preference given to appointments. Walk-in appointments available during daytime hours. Hours for building: Hours are 7 a.m.-8p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4:30-7 p.m. weekends. Students should submit ID photos online at id-photo.emporia.edu.
Memorial Union Bookstore
Hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday. Number of customers limited to 15. 620-341-5214 or email email@example.com.
Hours are 3-8 p.m. Sunday; 7 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Payment through credit/debit cards only; no cash transactions.
Open 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Individual meetings with students will primarily be conducted via phone or virtually. Use of Online forms is encouraged. A drop box in the Plumb Hall Rotunda allows students to submit documents without waiting in line. How to schedule: email: firstname.lastname@example.org, phone: 620.341.5211 Doors will be open to walk-ins but they will be restricted to the front desk area, 108 Plumb Hall.

Student Accessibility + Support Services

Student Advising Center
The office will be open for a drop-in general questions, but all advising appointments (drop/add class, enrollment, academic success workshops, general advising questions) will be virtual via text, email or Zoom. Call 620-341-5421 to schedule. Advising appointments can be done via Zoom or by phone.
Student Wellness Center
Open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Interactions are: counseling sessions: virtual through HIPAA-compliant Zoom; Health Services: in-person by appointment. How to schedule: phone: 620-341-5222 — students with respiratory or potential COVID-19 symptoms MUST call first to be screened by a nurse and given instructions; Patient Portal — a tile on Hornet365 online; in-person: walk up to the front desk, 250 Morse Hall Southeast.
William Allen White Library
The 1st Floor, 2nd Floor, and designated areas of the 4th Floor are available. ESU faculty, staff, and students access the building by swiping their Hornet ID at the front door. Hours are 7:45 am - 9:00 pm (Monday-Thursday), 7:45 am - 6:00 pm (Friday), 1:00- 6:00 pm (Saturday), and 1:00 - 9:00 pm (Sunday). The Learning Commons is open during this time but with extended hours on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 pm to midnight. Interactions are face-to-face, phone, email, and virtual. The third floor and 1st Floor study rooms are temporarily closed at this time.
