Communication from Associated Student Government About COVID-19 and Campus

March 12, 2020

Dear Hornet Nation,

Amidst recent news surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, ESU announced the action plan moving forward which includes: cancelled face-to-face classes March 16 - 20 then moved to online beginning March 23 until further notice and campus events and programming cancelled until April 10.

Safety is paramount as we move forward to help reduce the risk of infection. Please ensure that you are following the suggested guidelines by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) including social distancing. Information and updates from ESU about COVID-19 can be found here.

Associated Student Government (ASG) is still dedicated to supporting our students. We will be working to navigate issues regarding upcoming committee and Senate meetings, the allocation process, and RSO recognition and re-registration processes. We will communicate updates through email, Hornet Life, and Twitter @EmporiaStateASG.

Further, ASG is focused on assisting our University leadership in any way possible and advocating for student concerns. We know that there are many unanswered questions, however, we would like to ensure you that we will be working tirelessly, along with our team, to find answers for you and report them out.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns you might have.

Yours in Service,

Paul Frost (he/him)
