Students are encouraged to pursue an internship in their major. Internships provide an opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience in the field and may involve relocating to work anywhere in the United States. The majority of internships are paid and many of them also offer academic credit towards a student's degree. For more information about internships, contact Joel Ewy in Career Services.

OPT and CPT
If you are an F-1 visa student looking for internships or employment in the United States, you need to be knowledgeable on the employment and practical training regulations. To learn more, click HERE to go to the Office of International Education website to learn more. Scroll down to the Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) section or contact the Office of International Education with questions regarding Practical Training.
Check out this online resource, GoinGlobal, for global searches for jobs in the United States and study abroad opportunities. GoinGlobal includes employers who sponsored H-1B last year, city and country guides around the world, and internship and full-time job listings. GoinGlobal provides country-specific career and employment information, including world-wide internship and job postings, H1-B employer listings, corporate profiles, and career resources for 30 countries.
