Undergraduate Student Essay Contest : Spring 2015


The center is proud to announce its first Undergraduate Student Essay Contest for the 2015 Spring term. This essay contest is intended to encourage and reward students at Emporia State University for authoring original essays related to the concept of ethical leadership and the advancement of the common good. This essay contest is directly tied to one of the center’s core missions, which is to explore and advance the teaching and learning of leadership qualities.

Essay Topic:

Describe with clarity an issue or a situation which you have personally encountered, and explore what it taught you about the importance and the relevance of ethical leadership.

Contest Workshops:

Essay participants were able to attend workshops hosted by the Koch Center to help them prepare for the contest.
