Favorite thing about ESU:

My class sizes were perfect. It was an easy transition from high school to college without getting overwhelmed. We have a great size campus, not too big and not too small!

When I was five years old I wanted to be:

A doctor.

Advice for new Hornets:

Get involved! It is harder to build relationships and meet people by just sitting in a classroom 2 or 3 times a week. Getting involved gets your face out there to meet new people as well as getting familiar with your profesors. The Center for Student Involvement has over 100 different clubs you can be a part of so find something you like and go with it, or try something new like I did. I never imagined myself in Greek life, but joining that made my college experience 10 times better.

Top Five Gallup Strengths: Empathy, Relator, Includer, Developer, Positivity

Hey all! First, I want to say I’m very glad you are looking into higher education, but better yet you are considering Emporia State University! I truly enjoy my job because I get to help people come to school to further their education and try to make their application process as easy as possible. I was a first generation college student so I understand the struggles of learning all of these new things and being a little scared of the change. I am here to help, so please don’t hesitate to contact me for any questions about ESU, Emporia, student life, or just about the college experience in general. I look forward to speaking with you, future Hornets! (También hablo español)
