Emporia State University is an active part of the community and offers many spaces and services the community can use or take advantage of, from our beautiful state of the art Memorial Union to the Kansas Small Business Development Center.
ESU Memorial Union
The living room of campus and has meeting rooms and event spaces that can be used for weddings, conferences and group needs whether it is a small meeting of five people or a large dinner for 500 people.
Studio E is an initiative at Emporia State University to give students experience with real-world clients, including non-profit organizations and small businesses, through college-credit-earning internships.
ESU has several theatre productions throughout the year, including summer.

Center for Great Plains Studies
ESU emphasizes the study of the grasslands as one of its primary responsibilities to Kansas and the region.

Kansas Regional Reading Recovery University Training Center
Year-long residential training for Reading Recovery teacher leaders as well as continuing professional development and supervision following the initial year of training.

A program of professional development at no cost for teachers in Kansas going through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards process.
Kansas Masonic Literacy Center
The Kansas Masonic Literacy Center focuses on collaborating with schools, teachers, families and organizations to strengthen the promotion of literacy learning.
Math Leadership Institute
A trained math leader working with teachers can build knowledge, capacity, and skills, increasing the effectiveness of all. The MLI aims to increase the math content knowledge of all teachers.
