Flint Hills Chapter Receives PDK Project Grant

By Zeni Colorado

The Flint Hills Chapter located in Emporia, KS has received a $1,500 PDK Project Grant from PDK International, a global association of education professionals.

The Flint Hills chapter will use their project grant to sponsor a professional development workshop and two social events geared toward member recruitment. Participants attending the professional development workshop will learn how to more fully integrate the use of mobile devices in the classroom.  The mobile devices workshop will be held during the Fall semester and be available to local school teachers.

Each year, PDK International awards grants to members, PDK chapters, and groups of members and chapters to fund projects that provide short-term supplemental financial support to projects that improve the field of education and further the association’s three tenets of leadership, research, and service.
“We are delighted to support such visionary educational initiatives through the PDK Project Grants program,” said PDK Executive Director William J. Bushaw. “Funding these inspiring projects allows us to help our members continually improve the field of education.”
