The Emporia Entertainment series was established in 1947. The first presentation was on October 3; the second, Madama Butterfly, was performed December 1, 1947.

Scope and Contents note

This collection consists of one program. Madama Butterfly was performed in Albert Taylor Hall on the Kansas State Teachers College campus by the Boston Opera Company. This was the second presentation of the Emporia Entertainment series, which was established in 1947.
