Arrangement note

The collection is organized by family, with sub-series for W. H., Hattie, and Margaret Keller. Margaret’s papers are further divided into parts representing her unmarried and married lives. Also, undated items are placed before dated items, with one item of questionable ownership at the beginning of the collection.

After processing this collection in June 2005, the decision was made to add the items from a separate donation to this collection. These additional items were originally received by the Emporia State University Archives on October 23, 2000, and consist mainly of newspaper articles about Keller family members, organizations in which Margaret Keller Humphrey held memberships, and historical events in Emporia and at Emporia State University. These items have been added at the end of the original collection and consist of 1 box of 21 folders, 1 box containing four paperweights and one statue, and 2 oversize items which were added to oversize folder 3, 2005.1, in oversize drawer OS 1. The boxes are numbers 3 and 4 of the collection, with numbering of file folders continuing from the original collection.
