Biographical Note
Wilma Adeline Hogan was a student at Kansas State Teachers College from 1932-1934. She participated in Winnetaska, a women’s social group for students not associated with a Greek-letter social organization. The purpose of Winnetaska was to provide social and cultural opportunities for students; meetings were held weekly followed by a one hour dance with the men of Mu Epsilon Nu. According to the 1934 Sunflower, it was the only organization of its kind among the five state schools in Kansas.

The scrapbook also has newspaper clippings of famous actors and actresses appearing in productions in Emporia and Kansas City, including Walter Hampden, Katharine Cornell, Basil Rathbone, and Eva Le Gallienne.
