Scope and Contents note

Scrapbook contains newsletter clippings, cards, personal letters, and programs. Most of the items are holiday and birthday cards received from family and friends. Newspaper clippings provide political commentary on some of the issues of the day; included is a letter from President Ronald Reagan, dated December 4, 1980, thanking her for helping elect him President of the United States and citing contributions made to the Republican National Committee. Programs from cultural activities on campus and in Emporia, and programs from at least three churches are included. There are also a few items which express feminist themes.

Most of the items are taped down in the book, which allows the cards to be opened and read. A few items have writing that continues onto the back page and those parts cannot be accessed.
