Brachiopods
The museum has a display of a large variety of Pennsylvanian
and Permian brachiopods from central and eastern Kansas. These Pennsylvanian
age specimens of Phricodothyris pictured below are about
the size of a pea. Others, such as the Permian age Derbyia cymbula,
can be as large around as a tennis ball.
