The Emporia State Lady Hornet Volleyball team made the switch to NCAA Division II in 1992.

Since the transition to NCAA Division II the hornets have continued their success, winning the NIT Championship in ‘94 and in 2005, Lady Hornet Volleyball Team Started with 13-0 record and earned qualification for NCAA Championship Tournament.

ESU Women's Volleyball Team is continuing success in a classroom. Our team is one of the only 26 among 260 Division II teams that received the outstanding American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award this year. This is our team to earn this award third time in the row.

ESU Women's Volleyball Team is performing five different characters and spirits of Desire, Discipline, Competitiveness, Belief and Respect every day. We are experiencing a new look of ESU Lady Hornet Volleyball and striving for excellence. We are looking forward to making further success in the future.
