Dan Matisa

Dan joined the ESU faculty in the fall of 2015 as an assistant professor of acting. He holds degrees from Hofstra University and the Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory and is an active member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, and VASTA.  For the past fifteen years he has acted, directed and taught in New York City.  He spent a year on the faculty of Elon University and comes to us directly from the summer season at the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre.  He has appeared on television in Ed and Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  Recent acting credits include Hamlet (Claudius), Pippin (Charles), Richard III (Richard), As You Like It (Jaques) at the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre and Mother Courage and Her Children and The Sneeze at New York's Phoenix Theatre Ensemble.  dmatisa@emporia.edu
