Jim Bartruff

 

Jim Bartruff became Director of Theatre in 2004 from Minnesota State University Moorhead. A 31-year veteran of academic theater, he also taught in and directed theatre programs at Carroll College and for the University of Montana. He is listed in the 2007 edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers® and the 2009 edition of Who's Who in America®. In 2001, he was named Minnesota Professor of the Year. Jim earned a degree in speech and theatre from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, his master's from the University of Oregon and an MFA in directing from the University of Montana. Besides teaching and directing, he writes plays and is an avid baseball fan. His recent ESU Theatre credits include The Tempest, Little Shop of Horrors, I Love You Because, Rabbit Hole, The Glass Menagerie and Suds. Rabbit Hole was selected for the Region V Festival of KCACTF at the University of Kansas.
