The Teachers College at Emporia State University is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036; phone (202) 466-7496. This accreditation covers initial and advanced educator preparation programs. NCATE is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for the preparation of teachers and other professional school personnel.

Teacher Work Samples

Disclaimer: The use of the example teacher work samples is provided to assist candidates in the preparation of their own teacher work sample. Any other use is strictly prohibited. While the examples have been judged to be very good, use of them does not guarantee a passing score on a teacher work sample prepared by a candidate. Also, there have been some changes in the TWS prompt and rubric, so the sample TWS's may not exactly match the prompt and rubric currently in use.
