George Yancey, Ph.D., Professor

George Yancey

Director, Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Faculty Advisor, Student Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Dr. Yancey has a BA in Psychology from Davidson College and a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional.

He has conducted organizational research and developed HR systems for a variety of organizations: Fortune 100s (IBM), government agencies (TVA), small companies, and non-profits. His current research explores how organizational values are linked to organizational performance.

He began teaching at ESU in 2000. Before that he was Vice President of Human Resource Consulting for D. Hilton Associates. He has conducted organizational research and developed HR systems for a variety of organizations, from Fortune 100s, to government agencies, to small companies and non-profits. His current research explores how organizational values are linked to organizational performance.
