Technical Infrastructure and Operations
The Technical Infrastructure and Operations team provides technical support for services that comprise the foundation on which the institution's technology systems reside. The group is divided into Server Support, Voice and Data Networking, Database Administration, and Operations.
Our services include:
- Server hardware and operating system support for Microsoft Windows servers.
- The ESU telephone system.
- The wired and wireless data network; routing, switching, Internet connectivity.
- Datacenter facilities featuring an environmentally controlled server environment. ESU servers and core network equipment are protected with conditioned power, including automatic failover to emergency natural gas generators in the event of a utility power failure.
- Productivity applications such as Microsoft Office applications and e-mail.
- Data backup and restoration.
- Workstation patch management.
- Shared file services.
- Networked printing services.
- Authentication (Login) services.
- Data Security Administration.
