Faculty and Staff Computing
User Support Services offers support for most ESU-owned computing equipment on campus. A basic listing of support includes:

ESU-Owned Computer Support
User Support Services (USS) offers full support for any computing equipment that was recommended by Technology & Computing Services (TCS) and meets current requirements and specifications. USS can provide limited support for computing equipment that was not recommended by TCS. User Support can provide service for both ESU-owned PCs and Apple/Mac systems. These services include (but are not limited to) computer reloads, hardware malfunction resolutions, hardware upgrade recommendations, etc.
TCS-Provided Software
User Support gives full support for any software provided by TCS (e.g. Microsoft Office, Novell GroupWise, Sophos Anti-Virus). USS can provide limited support for software purchased by individual departments (e.g. Adobe Dreamweaver, Opera, OpenOffice).
ESU Network Connectivity
User Support will assist ESU departments with connecting ESU-owned computing equipment to both the ESU Local Area Network (LAN) and wireless network (where available).

ESU-Owned Printer Support
User Support Services offers support for network printers configured by TCS and limited support for faculty or staff members who have a local printer connected to their office computer.
ESU Computer and Software Quotes
The User Support division of TCS will assist ESU departments with researching their technology needs and creating equipment quotes to help ensure ESU is getting the best possible price from vendors on state contract. TCS strongly urges all departments to contact User Support (via the TCS Helpdesk) when they are considering any technology purchases. Common quotes created by TCS include (but are not limited to):
- Desktop Computers
- Laptops
- Network Printers
- Software
It is also standard practice for User Support Services to coordinate with Dell Computers to create quantity purchase quotes on a quarterly basis. These quotes are created to ensure that ESU departments have the best possible price on TCS-recommended computer purchases. Current system information regarding the computers can be found in the quantity quotes document (pdf).
Virus and Spyware Support
TCS provides Anti-Virus and Spyware protection solutions to for all ESU-owned computer equipment.
Blackberry & Mobile Device Support
