Academic and User Services
The Academic and User Services divison of Technology and Computing Services is tasked with supporting educational technology for faculty, students, and staff at the Emporia State. Our services include:
Web conferencing support using Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro. The Connect Pro meeting room offers a synchronous, distance classroom environment.
Faculty evaluation reporting, bubblesheet test scoring, and online survey services.
Videography and other video services support is available for a wide range of event types.
Blackboard support. Blackboard combines your course documentation, discussions, assessments, and other classroom content into one easy-to-navigate location.
Classroom Performance System Student response pads are provided by e-Instruction. The software supporting the pads is called the Classroom Performance System (CPS - these are sometimes called "clickers").
Training facilities. Our IDL classroom accommodates up to 24 attendees and can connect to multiple sites; our technology training classroom seats 15 comfortably, and the Visser Hall lab area has seating for up to six participants.
