Who we are

Our mission is to enhance the academic success of all students with an emphasis on wellness and personal growth. The programs and services within Student Wellness (Health Services, Counseling and Disability Services) provide education, direct services, and resources to empower students to successfully navigate through the many transitions of life and to reach their highest potential.

Student Health Services serves all students.  Students who have paid the full Student Health Campus privilege will not be charged for office visits.  Students paying less than the full-time health fee will pay $10 for each office visit, and students paying no health fee (online students) will pay $25 per office visit.  Confidentiality is assured by law.

We encourage students to be current with all immunizations before coming to ESU. Tetanus and MMR (measles/mumps/rubella)are particularly important for all students; those living in campus housing must meet the legal requirement for meningococcal meningitis which involves either receiving the shot or signing a waiver refusing the shot. A Health History form and Immunization History form are available on-line (see buttons on home page); required immunizations must also be verified by providing documentation to health services staff.

Modest charges will be assessed for services such as lab work, prescriptions, and medical equipment, (i.e., wrist splints).

We currently are not able to file health insurance claims, except those through the State of Kansas Plan, United Healthcare-Student Resources (Link to Student Resources here) . A receipt will be provided to students to submit to other insurance companies if they so choose.   We are working on being able to file all insurance claims so please bring insurance information with you to each visit.
