Counseling services can help students who are facing a variety of concerns, including: anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, academic problems, sexual identity concerns, and self-defeating behaviors. Counseling provides an opportunity to talk about these concerns with an objective person who can provide new perspectives and help you learn new ways of addressing these issues.
If you are uncertain whether counseling is for you, feel free to make an initial appointment and discuss your concerns with a counselor. Counseling services are free to all enrolled Emporia State University students and there is no obligation to continue. While the services are free, there is a $10 no-show charge for appointments that are made and not kept.
