SUSAN B. ANTHONY SCHOLARSHIP
The Gender Program is pleased to announce that the Susan B. Anthony Scholarship is available annually . This scholarship is approximately $1,200 and is awarded to the ESU Student (male or female) who best satisfies the following requirement:
- The applicant who has demonstrated the greatest or most beneficial input to the growth and education of women on the Emporia State University campus.
- The applicant who has demonstrated excellence in scholarship (i.e., grade point avaerage and academic honors).
- The applicant who shows financial need.
- Applications can be picked up in Student Wellness-Counseling Center, 250 Southeast Morse Hall . We encourage anyone to apply and invite everyone to attend the awards ceremony on March 9, 2011, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Sauder Alumni Center. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on February 18, 2011.
Dr. Mary F. Headrick Award
Dr. Mary Headrick was a counselor in the ESU Counseling Center for 27 years. During this time, she was known for her tireless efforts to ESU and in the Emporia Community for helping women reach their full potential. The Dr. Mary F. Headrick Award is designed for those who go the extra mile, making a long-term commitment to promoting the growth of women in our schools and community. Nonimatations are accepted every year during the first part of February. The Award Ceremony is combined with the Susan B. Anthony Scholarship Award Ceremony and is held annually during March.

Aneta Bodkin, Counselor in the Counseling Center, administers The Gender Program. Aneta graduated from Emporia State University with a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Counselor Education.
