IMMIGRANT VOICES

This class focuses on the immigrant experience in the U.S., as recalled by the immigrants themselves.  Groups examined come from all continents.  Involuntary immigration (the African American experience) will be covered, as will other forms of entry into the U.S.  Special attention will be given to such recent immigration trends as the rise in arrival from Hispanic Ameirca.
