Feminist Rhetoric and Reform

 This course explores the long history of feminist speech and writing.  We will study rhetorical theory, as well as women's movements dedicated to reforming society, including the women's suffrage movement, women's progressive reforms, labor law, birth control, and the modern women's movement. Course readings will focus on the feminist critique of society, culture, and law in both England and the United States from the 18th century to the present.
