At age eight young Donal was playing in a field with his dog. It was a hot dry day, and by mid afternoon a grass fire was ripping through the community. Donal did not notice the fire until it was too late. A grass fire, backed by a strong wind, can out run an adult, so Donal did not stand a chance.
