ESU'S PHILOSOPHY CLUB
Club Dialectic hosts guest speaker, Dec. 3rd., 2003
Dr. Christian Lotz, from the Department of Philosophy at the University of Kansas, will present a talk entitled "'For us man himself is mutually of no value': Dignity and Singularity in Kant and Marx." The event will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 3, in Plumb Hall 312. This presentation is hosted by Club Dialectic and the Department of Social Sciences and is open to the public.
2nd Annual Earth Day in the Park Community Potluck Picnic, Apr. 2003
All are invited to join a community picnic & barbeque at Peter Pan Park to celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 27th, 2003. A park clean-up will start at 10:30 am, and the picnic will be held at the park ampitheater (south of Randolph and Kansas Avenues) from 1:00 to 7:00 pm. Please bring chairs or blankets, a potluck contribution, and any needed eating utensils. Entertainment, starting at 1:00, will include Loco Macheen, The Cause, and Live Jazz.
