Application for Undergraduate Continuing Students
Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Crime and Delinquency Studies
Complete this application only if you meet the following qualifications:
*Filed a degree contract and have declared a Sociology or CDS major
*Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
*Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
*Recipients must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours) during the period for
which they receive a scholarship
*One-page essay on what "Sociology" or "Crime and Delinquency Studies" major means
to you
Complete this application and submit to the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Crime and Delinquency Studies by FEBRUARY 15, 2013.
Departmental Academic Scholarship Applications will be reviewed between February 13 and March 16 by a scholarship committee within the department. You will be notified by letter from the department following review of this application.
Activity scholarships (i.e., music, debate, drama, art) are awarded by the respective departments.
Additional scholarships (i.e., ACT, resident of "x" county, graduate of "x" high school, etc.) will be awarded by the Admissions and/or University Advancement office. The Emporia State University admission's application must be completed to be considered.
Athletic scholarships are awarded by the appropriate coaches. Please check with the appropriate departments or coaches for priority dates and requirements.
Note: If you are interested in applying for additional financial aid, please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) this application may be picked up in the Financial Aid office Plumb Hall 103. Priority date for applying for federal aid is March 15.
