                   Outstanding Graduating Senior

Ms. Christina Hansen was named the 2009 Sociology, Anthropology, and Crime and Delinquency Studies Outstanding Senior.  Christina really impressed the faculty members!  As Dr. Wyatt puts it, “Christina is one of those rare students who purposely selected courses and professors who challenged her, not those who provided her with the easy A.”  In addition to being on the university honor roll, Christina had earned membership in Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society.

Currently, Christina is a family advocate for the Headstart Program in McPherson County.  Christina writes that because of her experience at ESU “I am able to offer a unique perspective based on my sociological training.  This training enables me to give a differing and sometimes alternative perspective for my co-workers to consider.  I can provide a broader and more balanceed perspective on many situations we encounter on a daily basis.”

Christina future plans are to continue service to her community as a family advocate and attend graduate school.  Congratulations Christina!
