Dr. Alfredo Montalvo came to the Department of Sociology and Anthropology in 1993. He teaches Introduction to Sociology and courses in the areas of criminology and criminal justice. His name appeared in the 1998 issues of Who's Who Among American Teachers . He has published a book and several articles in local and national journals. His research interests include the politics of crime and criminal justice, and the sociology of law. He is the advisor for the Sociology Club. Dr. Montalvo enjoys fishing, dancing, music, and poetry.
