Applying for Archives Certificate

Current SLIM MLS students

Applicants for the Archives Studies Certificate program only (MLS received elsewhere, or no MLS)

  2. Transcripts of undergraduate and graduate (if applicable) work
  3. Statement of purpose: This document should be a single-spaced, one-page narrative expressing your reasons for applying for this particular certificate program and your career goals
  4. Your CV/resume
  5. Names and contact information for two references (preferably, one academic- and one employment-related)
  6. A pre-acceptance interview may be scheduled at the discretion of the Certificate Coordinator or the appropriate Regional Director

SLIM MLS graduate applying for the Archives Studies Certificate program

  2. Transcripts of any academic coursework completed after the MLS
  3. Statement of purpose: This document should be a single-spaced, one-page narrative expressing your reasons for applying for this particular program and your career goals
  4. Your CV/resume
  5. Names and contact information for two references (preferably, one academic- and one employment-related)

You will receive an acknowledgment from SLIM when your completed application, including additional documentation if required, has been forwarded to SLIM, along with a time estimate for its review and final disposition. Please note: successful completion of LI809 is a prerequisite for admissions to the ASC program. While you may apply for admission before you have completed LI809, your acceptance will be provisional until this requirement is met.
