Secondary Phase 1 Online Application Instructions

 

Follow these directions to complete the Secondary Phase I application.

  1. Print a copy of your STING transcript.
  2. Go to http://tcsmine.emporia.edu
  3. Enter your Username and Password, then click “ login”.
    1. Username: Lastname_firstname
    2. Password: your student ID or SS#. OR, if you have used the ESU I: drive and changed your password, then that is your password. If you have any questions or difficulties logging in, please contact the Help Desk at 341-5555 (Toll Free: 1-877-341-5555) or email helpdesk@emporia.edu.
  4. Click on Candidate Applications
  5. Click on Phase 1 Application
  6. Update your Student Information by clicking on Click here to Edit Student Info
    1. Update information, then click Submit Form
    2. Once the information is submitted, click Return to Application
  7. Click on Click Here to Edit Core Courses”
    1. Use your STING transcripts to enter your Core General Education Information.
    2. click Submit Form , then Return to Application
  8. Click on “Click Here to Edit Required Courses”. Repeat what you did in #7 for MA110, College Algebra and ED/EL220, Introduction to Education.
  9. If you need forms to document the 100 Hours of Child Advocacy Service, get them by clicking on Click Here for the Forms, print them off and complete them in writing. Make sure you have the 100 hours form completed by your supervisor.
  10. To complete the required Disclosure Statement, click on Click Here for the Forms, print the pages off and complete them in writing. Put your initials in the boxes next to the “Yes” or “No” for each statement.
  11. Review all information so far for accuracy and print what you have.
  12. Complete the application by reading the statements on the “Signature Form”, putting your initials in each box and signing and dating it at the bottom.
  13. Make a copy of the completed application for your records including the 100 hours and Disclosure forms.
  14. Staple the application materials together (the application, 100 hours, Disclosure form, STING transcript and the Signature page). You will turn in the original signed documents.
  15. Sign up for an admission to Phase 1 appointment with Dr. Bland on the wall outside his office, VH206. Bring all the application materials to the appointment.
