Driver Education Certification

(Certificate issued by KSDE)

ESU offers Driver Ed certification classes every summer here on campus at ESU. There is no class limit during the summer as it is only offered here at ESU during that time. There is housing available here on campus for those students who do not want to drive back and forth during the summer, they can contact Residential Life Housing at 620-341-5264 for more information.

Enrollment for summer courses begins in March. You would need to complete either a special registration form and mail or fax in, http://www.emporia.edu/sac/pdf/special2app.pdf or call 620-341-5211 to enroll at the end of March 2009. If you have never taken graduate level courses here before, there will be a one-time $40 fee for the process.

Session 1 – First full three weeks of June

DE703 General Safety 8:00- 11:30 Mon-Thurs
DE713 Driver Ed I 12:30 - 4:00 Mon-Thurs

Session 2 – Following three weeks after Session 1

DE723 Driver Ed II 8:00-12:00 Mon-Fri

High School Student Driver Participants (must be 14 prior to 1st day of class) Class sign-up will be held during the first week of January after which time student driver participants will be randomly selected. Parents of selected students will be notified. If students are selected they would participate during Session 2.
