The Bachelor of Science in Education with a teaching field in speech communication is a challenging and comprehensive program developed to prepare students to teach any subject area in theatre or speech (including forensics and debate) in Kansas high schools. If you have ever considered teaching debate, forensics or theatre, you should consider this degree offering. ESU also offers many opportunities outside the classroom that will help you develop your skills in these areas. For example, the theatre department has a number of productions each year where you can get really involved from the ground up. You will gain valuable experience that will be put to good use in your teaching career.
