Physical Education

The Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) program is designed to prepare a student for Pre-Kindergarten-12th grade teaching in Physical Education. Course work will teach students to be critical thinkers, creative planners, and effective practitioners in the classroom. Students are provided with abundant teaching experience; they will teach for eight weeks at the elementary level and for eight weeks at the middle or high school level to become a licensed PreK-12 physical educator.

  • Overall GPA of 2.5
  • Physical Education content GPA of 2.75
  • General Education GPA of 2.75
  • Passing score on the PPST Praxis I tests
  • Accepted into Phase I education
  • A passing grade of C or better in all Physical Education content courses .
  • There are two programs available for students to select from:
  • Option A (Two Teaching Fields): 38 hrs
  • Option B (One Teaching Field): 49 hrs
