Modern Languages & Literatures

The study of a modern language is an important part of a well-rounded education. We are truly living in a global society. The study of another language will teach you not only the language, but a great deal about the culture of the countries whose people speak that language. If you are majoring in another field, you should strongly consider how you might benefit from course work in modern languages. You will gain valuable knowledge and insights that will make you more marketable to prospective employers. You will also develop effective communication skills on a variety of topics. Our outstanding faculty will work with you to explore a major in modern languages, or a second major or concentration if you are majoring in another field.
