Health Education

The Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) program is designed to prepare you for teaching Health Education to grades Kindergarten through Twelve (K-12). You will also have the opportunity to select another area of interest in which to become certified to teach. As a graduate in Health Education, you will be a teacher that understands health education content and disciplinary concepts, and you will be able to apply these to your daily life and to bettering the lives of others. The costs of health care and medical insurance are increasing rapidly, affecting the financial well-being of families and corporations alike. As a society, we are becoming aware of the effects of poor lifestyle choices on things like productivity and absenteeism. Health educators are at the forefront of the "wellness" movement; as such, they have a high degree of marketability. ESU's Health Education program is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
