ESU Health Services is available only to degree-seeking, currently enrolled ESU Students who pay campus privilege fees:

Please call 620-341-5223 to schedule your appointment.  Students who become acutely ill during the school day may walk-in, but may have a longer wait as they must be worked into the regularly scheduled appointments.

If you make a 30 minute appointment for a pap smear or extended visit and do not show up or call to cancel, there will be a $10 "no-show" charge. There is also a $10 "No-show" charge if you miss more than two regular 15 minute appointments without calling to cancel.  If you are late to your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.

Your visit is covered by the student health fees you paid at registration. Other services require a small fee.  To determine what a specific service will cost, please call 620-341-5223 for that information.  You can also ask at the time that you call to make your appointment.

We do not accept insurance assignments, except through the State of Kansas student plan, United Healthcare-Student Resources. If you are interested in buying this optional plan, we can give you a brochure. If you have this student insurance, please let us know when you first check in with the Health Services receptionist. For insurance other than the United Healthcare-Student Resources plan, we will give you a paid receipt. You may send this in to your (or your parents') private insurance company if you choose.
You are responsible for any charges incurred at the time of service. We accept cash, or checks, and can also bill your student account if you wish.  When we bill the student account, the charge is sent over as "Health Services", it does not detail what the service is, to protect your privacy.  Those charges can be paid in the same manner you'd pay any other university charges; at the cashier's desk in Plumb Hall, online with a credit card, or by check in the mail.
