STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES
Who
can use these services?
Any
degree-seeking student currently enrolled for the
semester at Emporia State University, who has paid
student fees (campus privilege fees), is eligible
for basic health services. To view the fee schedule,
Fee
Schedule. Families of students
are not eligible to use the Student Health Center
but can find treatment on a sliding fee scale at
the local Public Health Department (Flint Hills Community Health Center) nearby (See address
in the bar on the right). The Student Health
Fee for2007-2008 is $62.65 per semester for full
time students and $9.60 per credit hour for part-time
students. Part-time students must pay an additional fee at the time of the first visit each semester to equal that of full-time students. Those current degree-seeking ESU students
who are not taking classes during the summer may
pay a $40.00 "summer use" fee. This entitles the student
to see a health care provider free of charge all summer. Students
needing other services or procedures (i.e., laboratory
tests, medications, some medical supplies or pap
smears) will be assessed a charge which is customarily
much less than the community rate. To view the fee
schedule, Fee
Schedule.
Confidentiality
of Records
Student Health records
are kept strictly confidential. No medical information
is ever released without a signed consent form from
the student or a court order/subpoena.
