Mission Statement

The mission of the University Support Staff Commission (USSC) at Emporia State University is to assist University Support Staff (USS) members in becoming an integral part of the university community.  The function, knowledge, skills, and talents of the USS staff contribute significantly to the successful operation of the University.  USSC shall provide a forum and a means of representation for USS employees to take an active role and have a voice in the life of the University.  Active role is defined as communicating with selected representatives, which will ultimately result in a conducive working environment for USS employees and a positive learning environment for students.
