Formerly known as the Department of Counselor Education and Rehabilitation Programs, the department now houses three graduate programs; two in Special Education and one in School Counseling.

We are vitally interested and committed to the training and education of special education teachers and school counselors who will serve in our schools. You will find extensive information of all degree programs, all courses, and all faculty and staff as well as detailed descriptions for applying to each program. The Department includes 3 graduate programs, an undergraduate Minor in Leadership, 13 faculty, and the following degree programs: -Master of Science in Special Education (with concentrations in Adaptive and Gifted/Talented/Creative)-Master of Science in School Counseling The department shares Emporia State University's vision to provide leadership in quality instruction, related scholarship and service in a student-centered environment.
