Dr. Carol L. Russell is associate professor of Early Childhood / Elementary
Teacher Education. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses. Her
focus of study and teaching is in the field of Early Childhood/Early Childhood
Special Education, with specific work in artistic creativity and creative
movement. Research interests include: artistic creativity, inclusion,
inclusive creative movement, children with special needs and their families,
sibling issues of children with special needs, ADA and accessibility,
curriculum, adaptations / modifications, spina bifida, nonverbal learning
disorders, person first and public policy. Dr. Russell has presented on these
topics nationally, and has authored book chapters and articles on various
early childhood topics.
