Assistant Professor, joined the Department of Psychology and Special
Education in 2001. She earned bachelors degrees in Psychology and
Business Administration (1986), as well as a masters degree in Psychology
(1988) from Emporia State University prior to earning a Ph.
D. in Psychology (1992) from Texas A & M, College Station, TX. She teaches
several psychology courses including the undergraduate research methods
and statistics courses, serves as faculty sponsor to the Psychology Club, and
is a member of the ESU Animal Care and Use Committee. Her research
interests include Behavioral Neuroscience and Toxicology, and she uses
rodent models to study the effects of drugs (e.g., caffeine,
alcohol) or environmental pollutants (e.g., lead) on social behavior, learning,
attention, memory, etc. Her other research projects deal with issues related to
college teaching and college students´ learning (e.g., effective study
behaviors).
