Where do scholarships come from?
Most ESU scholarships are made possible thanks to the generosity of ESU alumni and friends of the university. ESU supporters establish and contribute to scholarships for many reasons. Some give in order to provide you with an educational opportunity they didn’t have. Others give because they remember how much a scholarship helped them in their careers, and want to pass along the favor to a new generation. And many others give because they enjoyed their experience at Emporia State University and want to share that experience with others. Because of these gifts, Emporia State University awards $1.6 to $1.8 million in scholarships each year.
