WEST END- An orientation drive through London’s busiest area where you will see main attractions and famous landmarks, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Trafalgar Square. Visit Westminster Abbey and see the Changing of the Guard ceremony.
CITY OF LONDON - Steeped in history for many centuries, a leading commercial and financial center. Visit St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tower of London.
STRATFORD-UPON-AVON AND STRATFORD - A day in the heart of the English countryside in the beautiful Cotswolds. There will be time to enjoy the traditional timbered buildings and to visit William Shakespeare's birthplace. Continue to Oxford and visit one of the renowned colleges which comprise the oldest university in Britain.
CANTERBURY AND LEEDS CASTLE - Visit the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral, England’s mother church, continue to Leeds castle, often described as the most romantic castle in the world. Admire the lavish state apartments, which have played host to international summit meetings, and stroll through the magnificent gardens.
PARIS EXCURSION VIA EUROSTAR - After breakfast, transfer to Waterloo station, board the famous Eurostar train to Paris and travel through the English countryside to the Channel tunnel. Arrive at Gare du Nord station in Paris just three hours after leaving London. For approximately two hours, enjoy a guided excursion of Paris and see many of the famous sights. Thereafter you are free for lunch and shopping. Late afternoon, return to Gare du Nord station to board the Eurostar train for your return journey to London, where you arrive in the late evening.
BATH AND STONEHENGE - Visit Georgian Bath, the location of England’s only hot spring and the famous Roman Baths to which society and royalty came to “take the waters” in the 18th century. Thereafter, drive along the beautiful Avon valley to Stonehenge, the ancient enigma of 50-ton pillars created by a unique civilization.
WINDSOR CASTLE - This fortress has been the home of British sovereigns for nearly 900 years. Windsor is the world’s largest inhabited castle, and continues to be the Queen’s weekend home. We will visit the recently restored state apartments which house a wonderful collection of treasures. There will be time for shopping in the delightful town of Windsor.
