The first-ever rugby alumni reunion

The ESU rugby team hosted its first-ever alumni rugby match on May 2, and 30 alumni returned to campus for the event. An auction raised $500 for the team, but the alumni refused to bid on one item – the match ball used to play Kansas State in 1976, when the ESU team was first formed. Alums want to display the ball on campus as a reminder of the team’s history at ESU. Meanwhile, the team is preparing for a D-I tournament at Vanderbilt University in 2010.
