WOW! The sensation of discovery: faculty research and creativity
Dr. Michael Butler's research on athlete reaction time and movement
In the video, you'll see Dr. Michael Butler demonstrating his research on athlete reaction time (read the story). Shelley Marsh of Olathe, a defender on the soccer team, and midfielder Beth Bruner of Emporia (the taller player in the video) helped us out. The women found it more difficult to respond to the colors in front and back of them – the green and blue - rather than the colors on each side, red and yellow. Those were easier to spot. “The green and blue are little more similar,” Marsh said.
